This year, Ian and Nikki will take on their biggest adventure yet, a Trans African trip from South Africa to the Middle East. Packed with action, drama and fun, this seat of your pants thriller will have you booking the next flight to a place that requires shots.
The purpose of this trip, as with all our travels, is to learn about the cultures and customs of the many different countries we will be visiting. Each country has its own challenges and innovative methods of overcoming problems. Traveling helps us to gather information and ideas which we can use and share - African solutions to African problems.
The trip will also serve as a vehicle to provide information about, and bring attention to, the plight of children in Africa. Unrest, disease and climate change affect children the most. We would like to give you a glimpse into their lives and show how you can make a difference.
SOS Children is an organization that provides care for children in need. Their focus is on providing basic health, nutritional needs as well as education. They also work at improving the communities from which these children come with the aim of creating individuals who are self - sustaining adults and who make a positive contribution to their communities.
An independent, aid-free Africa is a possibility. Let's make it a reality.
